Football training works when every session has a job. The goal is not to collect random workouts—it is to build qualities that transfer to your position and hold up through a season.
Train the demands of your position
A lineman, linebacker, quarterback, and receiver should not prepare exactly the same way. Base the plan on movement patterns, energy demands, contact, and the skills that decide success at your position.
Connect gym and field work
Strength supports force. Field work teaches you to apply it. Schedule lifting, acceleration, change of direction, position drills, recovery, and practice so the pieces reinforce one another.
Track what matters
Record major lifts, sprint times, jumps, body weight, practice load, and recovery. Trends reveal whether the plan is working and when volume needs to change.
