Baron Hardesty got the rating, then went to camp and outperformed the field.
Bullitt East defensive lineman Baron Hardesty was climbing fast — a 3-star rating from 247Sports, top performer at the Lindenwood University Mega Camp, and a spring spent talking to programs across the map.
The 3-star rating
“Seeing that kind of recognition on a major platform was exciting. I look forward to increasing my stock even more over the summer pre-season and senior year.”
He then went to the Lindenwood Mega Camp and was named top performer out of a field of linemen from across the region — the kind of result that turns a rating into phone calls.
A growing list of suitors
“It’s been a busy off-season communicating with coaches from all over. Including Indiana University, Central Michigan, University of Louisville, SEMO, Ball State, Indiana State, Yale and Fordham — to name a few.”
He had taken several visits since January to get a feel for where he might fit. “I have been blessed to be able to do that,” he said.
Locked in on development
“I’ve hit the weight room hard since the season ended. Now that spring ball is over, my focus will shift to getting in the best ‘football shape’ I can be in before the season. Speed and agility conditioning using plyometrics and other methods are helping me get ready for camp season and my senior year.”
The support system
“Coach Isaac has been a great mentor along the way. He’s taught me different methods to reach college coaches, helps with social media exposure, gives me workout tips, and helps me communicate with programs.”
