Carter Jones went to Columbus, talked to Ryan Day, and kept climbing. Four offers became thirty-one.

Poquoson High School offensive lineman Carter Jones made a strong impression on his visit to Ohio State, where he sat down with head coach Ryan Day — a significant moment in a Class of 2027 recruitment that has gone from four offers to thirty-one.

The Ohio State visit

2027 offensive lineman Carter Jones (Poquoson High School, VA) made the trip to Columbus, and the Buckeyes left a mark.

“They are a school that is very high up on my list. I got to talk with head coach Ryan Day and he really likes me and was excited to continue building a relationship with me.”

What was next on the schedule

The fall slate was a busy one, with Jones making sure he saw several of the country’s top programs firsthand.

“I am also visiting Tennessee, Florida, Texas, Virginia Tech, and Penn State.”

Junior season

On the field, Jones and the Poquoson Islanders were rolling.

“We are 4-0 right now.”

How the offer list got there

Jones credits Coach Isaac and 5 Star Football Recruiting with elevating his profile nationally.

“Coach Isaac has helped me a ton with gathering offers and securing NIL deals. I came to Coach Isaac with 4 offers and now have 31 and am in the ESPN 300.”

Four offers to thirty-one, and an ESPN 300 ranking. That is what a managed recruitment looks like when the film is good and somebody is getting it in front of the right people.
