A program Micah Fleming had followed since the sixth grade made the trip to Thompson — and left an offer.

Thompson High School cornerback Micah Fleming took a major step forward in his recruitment with a scholarship offer from USC — a program he had been in contact with since the sixth grade.

The offer

“Getting the offer from USC was amazing. It’s a school I’ve watched for a long time and had already been in contact with them since 6th grade, and to think I could one day wear that jersey is a blessing. I’m truly honored and thankful for the opportunity, and I’m excited to keep building from here.”

USC came to Thompson

The Trojans’ staff made the trip out to Alabaster, which did not go unnoticed.

“It was an incredible experience having USC make the trip out to Thompson. Just knowing a program with that kind of history and prestige sees something in me means a lot. It’s a big motivator for me, my family, and the people around me to keep working hard and pushing myself every day.”

The profile

Fleming’s instincts, athleticism and coverage ability kept drawing Power Four attention through his sophomore year, and with his junior season ahead he stayed focused on development and team success.
